Gel-X Extensions in West Palm Beach
Soft-gel full-cover extensions that feel like your own nails — length without the weight, and a clean soak-off when you want them gone.
Gel-X uses pre-shaped soft-gel tips that cover the whole nail, bonded on with gel and cured under a lamp. Because the tip is already the final shape — almond, coffin, square, stiletto — there is no sculpting with liquid and powder, and no heavy filing of your natural nail to make it grip.
The result is the lightest extension on the menu and, for most people, the most comfortable. A full set starts at $65 and a fill from $55. Sets typically wear three to four weeks, and removal is a straight soak-off, which is why Gel-X has become the go-to for people who have had acrylic thin their nails in the past.
Gel-X takes gel colour, chrome, French and hand-painted art exactly like any other set. Length and intricate art add to the starting price, and we quote you before starting. Gel colour removal from an old set is from $10.
We are on Belvedere Road in West Palm Beach, a few minutes from downtown, El Cid and Flamingo Park. Walk in, or call (561) 469-1816 to have your shape and colour ready.

What is the difference between acrylic, dip powder and Gel-X?
Acrylic is liquid and powder sculpted by hand — the strongest option and the best choice for significant length. Dipping powder is applied by dipping the nail into pigment and sealing it, needs no lamp, and goes on quickly. Gel-X uses soft-gel full-cover tips bonded with gel: the lightest of the three, it does not require filing down the natural nail, and it soaks off cleanly. If you are unsure, describe your routine when you call and we will point you to the right one.
How long do gel, dip powder and acrylic nails last?
A gel manicure holds its shine for about 2–3 weeks before regrowth shows. Dipping powder and Gel-X typically wear 3–4 weeks. Acrylic and liquid gel sets last indefinitely with a fill every 2–3 weeks. Gel on toes lasts longest of all — often a month or more, because toenails grow more slowly.
Can Gel-X be filled, or does it have to be redone?
It can be filled. A Gel-X fill ($55+) rebalances the set at the cuticle the same way an acrylic fill does. Most people fill every three to four weeks and start a fresh set when they want a new shape.
Does Gel-X damage natural nails?
It is the gentlest extension option: the natural nail is only lightly buffed before application, and the set soaks off in acetone without forceful filing. Damage comes from picking or prying a set off — let us remove it and the nail underneath stays healthy.
